This game is a golem, a still one, because it takes the continent form [body] of Golden Eye but none of its containings [spirit]: it's semantically empty.

To begin with, do not worry about the cut-scenes because they are minimal; in fact, If the player didn't watch the film, they will not understand anything about the story because the cut-scenes tell nothing relevant nor interesting.

This game is a rehash of the action sequences of the original film and there's little to none story-telling between them.

Xenia Onatopp, one of the best Bond sub villains has been practically ignored and changed into something less attractive and interesting.

There's no hotel casino scene, there's no Hawaiian SETI compound, there's no Alan Cummings' character reference.

And there's no Tina Turner's singing the Golden Eye theme!

The game is fine but IT IS NOT A GOLDEN EYE GAME; it is another shooter bore to light by means of the James Bond pretext.

Shooting is good but for some reason my sensor bar stopped detecting the wiimote quite, quite, really quite often and the sensor bar works fine as I tested it with two more FPSs.

Grenades, there's a button to throw grenades but I didn't get a single one through my entire solo campaign though I got thrown at me several and died repeatedly because of them

Bond's gadgetry is reduced to a cellphone that can only hack some things and take photos of some other things alone.

Graphics are really good and the voice acting too but the game is a spirited down version of what it should have been.

Disappointing.

NOTE: my reviews never take into consideration the multiplayer factor because I never multiplay. To me, games are like books: to be enjoyed selfishly. This why I praise games with deep plots and twists design to amuse people on their own and sunk games that only rely on aesthetics and online features that require extra resources from the end-user to fully enjoy.
