Goldeneye 007 REVIEW

Graphics: 8.5
For its time, the graphics are great. There are some parts of the game where the pictures don't look good, but overall it doesn't influence that much the gameplay. What impresses me are the small details they've added, ie, the door decoder, the security camera. They all have realistic details. The faces are also well developed, although sometimes they can seem awkward.

Sound: 8.1
The sounds used in this game are pretty much accurate, gunshots, door opening, typing. Something that surprised me was the use of pain sounds when either you or another person gets hit. Although it can get repetitive, it always lets out a good laugh from time to time. The soundtrack is also something to consider. The music flows well with the environment, and doesn't seem to get annoying.

Gameplay: 9.3
The controls are well placed, and one can choose from different types of placement to fit their needs. The aiming is good, and the fact that at the end of every level it tells the accuracy percentage, it allows the player to get better. The strafe is helpful and easy to use. The variety of weapons in your arsenal are well balanced, although the mix weapon glitch can change that. The mission objectives can be fun, but sometimes are a bit weird, and can get annoying, ie, protecting Natalya. What really gets fun is unlocking the different cheats, which you earn from completing certain levels with certain criteria.

When it comes to multiplayer, this game is no doubt one of the best FPS on the N64. It has all kinds of modes to choose from, characters and stages to keep you playing with 3 of your buddies.

Story: 8.2
The story is well planned, and even if you haven't seen the movie, you can still enjoy this game. It follows quite well the storyline. Some levels may have changed, or have been added, but it doesn't take out the fun of the game.

This game is very exiting. It's a fun FPS on the N64 that proves to be challenging. It doesn't get really repetitive, and once you've unlocked all the cheats, you can replay each level in a different but exiting way. It's multiplayer is very fun, and is great(or was great) for an afternoon bash with some of your friends.
Overall: 8.7
