Revolutionary multiplayer made this a must have game nearly nine years ago.

GoldenEye is one of the many classic N64 games that people still reminisce about to this day. Never before had a FPS looked this good. Bond, the infamous British secret agent, had a whole host of cool new weapons at his disposal. The weapon choice was part of the fun. Would you blow away the baddy with an AK-47, a silenced pistol (his weapon of choice), an assault rifle, a high powered handgun, a magnum, a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher? Decisions...decisions. You could interact with the novel three dimensional environment the N64 created by blowing up boxes, shooting bullet holes into walls, shattering glass or even blowing up tables and chairs. There is no doubt that the single player mode was fun and more than worthy of being played multiple times through. However, what really made this game the masterpiece that it was-- was the revolutionary multiplayer. Never before had I had so much fun playing multiplayer in a FPS. Countless hours would tick by as my friends and I chased eachother through various maps blasting eachother with magnums, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, wall mines and even the golden gun. The multiplayer had so many different modes that it was impossible to get bored. This game revoltionized FPS's and deserves its spot in the hall of fame of N64 games. To be succinct, it was simply amazing.
