This game was so innovative when it came out. People try to point to other games as the first FPS, but I think this could be the grand-daddy of the genre. Sure, you could only move one block at a time, meaning that the game's extensive hallway system moves in sections, but you can really see from this game where titles like Wolfenstein came from. This game had a really cool storyline as well. It had romance and entrigue. Golgo had plot twists and eerie phone calls. As a teenager playing this game, it made you feel more adult, and had an adult flair to it. Back in the eighties, our parents were never concerned with what we were playing, because they thought that all Nintendo titles were like Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt. They never realized that some games would ever have an adult appeal to them. If they did, then I think I would have caught my father up late at night trying to master this Bondesque game of intrigue. This title is a must for people who would like to try out the root of the modern FPS and see where the genre originated and compare it to today's games.
