Pokemon may well have competition with this game in the future...

User Rating: 8.3 | Gotcha Force GC
While this game has very simple gameplay, a rather obnoxious soundtrack, a rather difficult to work with camera, and voice acting from hell, I still like it. To Gotcha Force's defense, the graphics for the borg models are very detailed and the environments are very diverse. The multi player is probably the most enjoyable part of the game. It has the speed and frenetic pace of party game, and the skill and simple enjoyment of a classic button mashing shoot 'em up type game. The one major problem with the multi player is that, if players wish to use their own borgs, they must bring their own memory card. The gameplay, as was mentioned before, is very simple and is similar to that of a classic shoot 'em up game. It doesn't take much longer than two or three battles to learn the controls and basic strategy of the game. The soundtrack is repetive and rather unpleasant to the ears. The camera comes into play during battles. It works just fine in battles in which the enemy you're targeting is at the same level are. However, if you're using a ground unit and the next enemy you target is a flying unit, or vice-versa, the camera jerks up and throws you completely off kilter. Finally, the voice acting is utterly horendous. I won't say anymore due to the fact that Gamespot prefers that I keep the review clean. Overall, this game has good potential, but in the here and now, it could use some tweeking.
