Its Gothic 3 bugs allover again in a new substance. This game is not suppose to be on shelves but in testing. Its bugged
It took me 2-3 min to be able to pick up the sword from the bed just at start, he would just not focus on it. Allot of the texts are sometimes misplaced (as the character says 1 thing and u get other text displayed), if the text is to big u cant read it, there`s no auto scrolling down. Path-finding bugs, sound bugs, i could hear wolf barks as if they were near me, in the middle of a town. One of the designers of the game ACCIDENTALLY put bread instead of some mushrooms in towns and forests ( yes u find allot of bread on the ground, just lying there ) . And some of them don`t stack up, i guess because they are suppose to be some other kind of mushroom maybe? :)) . I dunno whats wrong with the people that made this game, maybe they got low budget or maybe they are all high on swampweed, maybe the game engine is to broken (and it is anyway), don`t have people to test the game or they did all this just to laugh at us. They certainly shown us one thing, that they cant make a decent Gothic 3 and addon.
This game is suppose to make me want to play Gothic 4 whenever that releases, its suppose to make me want G4 right now, just like i want Diablo 3 now, but hell to be honest i`m afraid i`ll find the same bs there as here. Its broken.
It took Gothic 3 some years to be somewhat playable with 2 lol official patches and alot of community patches (thank God for those hardworking Gothic fans). This game just hit the shelves and already it has a patch, a major one in fact. That`s how broken and buged it is.
And talking about optimization, this game has none. The recommended system requirements are totally wrong omg. You cant play this game without any stuttering even with one 9800GTX and 4gigs of RAM. It almost always stutters and i think, although it has nothing to do with the internet, it lags :/ . Commands take like 1 sec sometimes to go.
Combat: well, as in Gothic 3 its bullwack. Nothing new, nothing to make it better. It has no flavor, nothing to make u special.
AI the same, people get stuck in house corners, you sometimes see 3 people staying in the same place (it sure sucks if u have to talk to one of them, gl), people siting in the air, cutting lumber with nothing in their hands, sleeping in the air ...etc etc there`s to many.
Maybe after alot of patches if they gona make any like in G3, the game might be somewhat enjoyable to play but for now i`ll pass. Want a good game, get The Witcher, thats like 100 times better than G3. Or play Gothic 2, that 1 is good. I`m a huge fan of Gothic 1 and 2 but the 3 series really let me down. Still i have some hope left.
My advice would be to loose the current game engine, its simply not doing it.
So, in simple terms, the game is not finished, its bugged, its broken, its annoying, its no fun. And the music is the same, wtf, make new music for an addon. All addons have new music.
Dont try to play it, save ureself a few hours and gigs on ure HDD as ure in for a rude awakening.
