Gran Turismo 2 is a real-car racing game that takes you in place of a person becoming a race car driver in the Gran Turismo world. The place has various places to go to: Home (you can change cars and view status), Race (compete in over 100 race events), Car Wash (clean your car), East/North/West/South City (tune, buy and sell cars), License (Get skills and permission for races), and a couple of others. You start of with $10,000 however it's marked as cr. and your first task is to buy a car. There is only one car in the game under 10K and it has 22hp (horsepower) so the only thing you can do is buy a used one. The cars have high mileages so their performance is kind-of dopy but with some tuning you can make the car really fast. The car menus are placed in groups of 8 with a background picture of the car, name and price. However the used cars also show colour as it's in list form, there is too many. The tuning issimple as the menus are broken into 8 categories which each have a tuning part. You can get more advanced models of it but it's best to try so you don't go to fast. There are also special cars and these are at prices of thousands (400,000-4,000,000) however legends on the road. The last thing at a car dealer is their own events. They can have a certain type of car or a whole group, and then for sponser cars or road cars (maybe both). The license tests are good as each license are grouped into 10 tests that cover areas. The licenses are the B, A, I-C, I-B, I-A and the S. The S is special because it is 1-lap time trials. Getting one allows more races for you to enter in and more tracks in arcade mode. The game is so big that arcade mode and GT mode are on different disks. The races are in four areas, rally races, endurance races, special races and the GTWorld Championship. Then there are more areas each covering two or three races. The tracks are totally unique and are many more than the first. There's Grindelwald, Seattle, and even Tahiti. This game is a total recommendation to any race car person or even a graphical person as this game is the best you'll find.
