GT4, my experience on the game.

A note before I do the review, reading the review where the guy lists all the cars, he doesn't list all of the, I already got cars that aren't on his list, including the rx-8 protype type 1 which is not found in the mazda dealer anywhere. And has more hp then the production rx-8s. So if you don't see a car that you like anywhere, just be patient, it might show up later. I only have 5 hours, but I have enough to have a good feel of the game, especially since I have 2 really powerful cars now. I started with about 50,000 (guess I wasn't far enough in gt3?). Started with a brand new miata, the newest one, got all the upgrades. And now I am like 2.5% through, and already unlocked a 750 HP car, the chrysler cion 02. And also already unlocked a 500 HP Toyota Rally Raid car (or suv, whatever it is). So far I have done about 70 miles in A-Spec and 60 miles in B-spec. Some things I noticed there are also some cars you can buy used that don't show up at the dealers (like the Ford Taurus SHO, it showed up at the used car dealership, but doesn't at the ford dealer, doesn't even list it as a car at the ford dealer) I was hoping for the 00 Cobra Mustang, but it isn't at the ford dealer, so I guess I got to wait till I win it as a bonus car, or it shows up at the used car dealership. Also, the penalty is a lot greater for running off the road or hitting the wall then it was in gt3. If you run off the road at a track, and get into the gravel pit, you are maxed at like 15 mph trying to get out. You still had the gravel pit in gt3, but in gt4, it feels a lot harder to get out of it. If you hit a wall really hard, the screen shakes and your car slows down for a second. In rally events, if you hit the wall, you get a 5 second penalty where you max speed is 31 mph (it shows a 5 second timer, so you will know if you have the penalty) I guess the 5 second penalty is to stop wall riding in rally courses, especially since now not all rally courses are dirt, snow, or rain anymore, some are just in very narrow dry pavement streets in the cities on mountains. I buy suspension before anything else, it makes it a lot easier to handle a car in the turns. I choose handling before speed. Also another thing new to the game is spoilers, you can actually buy a spoiler for your car, there are 5 different types each in black, grey, or white. They resemble more like the spoilers you would see on le mans cars and etc. You buy these at the same place you do oil change, car wash, and wheels(rims). B-Spec mode will make endurance races easier if you don't want to sit through the whole thing. In B-Spec, you have a driver who drives the car for him and you can tell him whether to pass or not, to pit or not, or how hard to try. As for the endurance races, you can't do them till you complete at least 25% of the career, so I haven't got to do any yet. The reason B-Spec can make endurance races easier is not the driver driving for you, but the fact that you can set the speed to 3x normal time. So an hour race would take only 20 minutes then. Also, if you are starting with little cash, otherwards with no GT3 data. Just keep doing the sunday race cup in the beginner hall, and keep clearing your data for that cup (it asks when you try to do it over again), you can get the bonus car over and over and it sells for over 8,000 plus the 5x600 prizes you get for gold in each race. If you B-Spec driver is good enough, you can just have him do the sunday cup over and over for you if you want at 3x speed. Till you get enough cash for your better upgrades or better car. If you don't have a GT3 data file, you will have to start with a used car, cause I didn't see a single new car for under 10,000.
