Grand Turismo 4 is the most realistic racing game that I have ever played. Some have said that GT4 is not realistic enough as here is not car damage and that you can bounce off cars. Yet, if there was not car damage and you could not bounce of cars then GT4 would be too realistic. The reason that this game is great is that it is realistic, but keeps the arcade fall of the game. I have to say that this is not the best Grand Turismo that I have played. I would say that GT3 was better as it was the first on the PS2 and was a groundbreaking game. I also would say that GT2 is a better game, as it was the first Grand Turismo that hade great depth in it. Nevertheless GT4 is the best realistic racing game cense GT3. You start off the game with 10,000 credits to get a car. But if you have played GT3 and have a save on a memory card then you can transfer 100,000 credits and are reworded the A and B license. Once you have a car you are ready to go race. This time around there is a new race mode called b-spec. You are the manager and you tell the driver how aggressive to drive, when to pass, and when to take a pit stop. This is a great way to get credits. If you just want to race like you did in GT3, well then you can still do that. In a-spect mode you race against five computer players, by steering and controlling the car and your speed. When you get some credits, you can by a new car, or just spend it on upgrading your current car. The game is near perfect. The sound effects are as good as it gets! Each car has a different engine sound. But the soundtracks are a bit disappointing. The graphics have not changed much if any from GT3. The game play is top notch as it has great physics in the game. With the game being loaded with over 700 can and over 50 tracks Gt4 will keep you occupied tell the summer. I have played for over 100 hours and have just touched the serf ice of this game. This is a must play if you have a PS2 or if you are a racing fan. I can not wait to see what GT5 will look like on the PS3.
