After numerous delays, the Real Driving Simulater, Gran Turismo, is back. And it's gorgeous to boot.

It's back. The best racing franchise of all time is back on the PS2. Finally! It's been, what, THREE YEARS? Okay, enough complaining. Time to start the review. This game is simply amazing, mostly because of its features. This game has 700 cars, 50 tracks, and an infinite amout of tweaking going on. You'll actually need to do this during races and actually make pit stops. Some of the tracks are over TEN MILES LONG! Nurburgring in Germany is 12.94 on its own. The gorgeous graphics and incredible incredible incredible sound is back. Heck, on the Grand Canyon track, you can actually see a dude taking pictures in the middle of the road and as you're coming towards him, he runs back into the stands. However, some of the hated-by-other-people-not-me aspects of the game have returned. The "infamous" license tests have returned. HOWEVER, you cannot play the game successfully if you do not do these tests. The bumper car tactic is still your best bet and with no visible damage or collision, crash away my friend. TRUST ME! THIS IS BETTER. Seeing my Miata crash into a huge fireball is not what I want to see. There is no online play, which is very disappointing. But, hey, I'm not complaining; you can still play with a friend or play on a LAN so as you crash into a buddy, you can look them in the eye as you send them packing. Instead of online play, we get a photo mode. So you can take pictures of your cars and print them out. Boys like that! NOT! But it's not just pick a car, pick a background, and shoot. You can change the lenses, focus, and type of flash you use as well. You'll get it when you...get...it...the...game...I mean...get the game...I mean. Anyway, the good times keep coming with GT4. It's the best racing game ever, and, like I said before, it's gorgeous to boot. Do I have to say it? An unprecedented 10 out of 10. +Gorgeous graphics and unbelievable sound +700 cars and 50 tracks +LAN party! -It's extremely hot outside -It's raining cats and dogs -Flash floods, tornadoes, and severe t-storm warnings up the wazoo
