The best and most realalistic racing game I've ever played!!
User Rating: 9.6 | Gran Turismo 4 PS2
Imagine a racing game with hundreds of cars, tons of tracks, and graphics so realalistic that you couldn't tell the difference between it and real life. That game is Gran Turismo 4. Gran Turismo 4 has over 700 cars, nearly 100 tracks, and about 400 races, many of which take place on dirt and snow. Along with these remarkable numbers, Gran Turismo 4 blurs the line between game and reality with it's amazing visuals, numorous lisence tests, mandatory oil changes, gas fill-ups and car washes. Along with maintinence, you also have the opportunity of customizing your cars with proformance parts, spoilers, and rims. The game can be difficult in the beginning, so it's best to get the best proformance for your money, but it's still hard no matter what you get for $10,000. The only remidy for this is to upload money from a GT3 save file. This maybe a cheap way to start the game, but i tried it the game many times using the $10,000, but I couldn't get very far, so I loaded up my $40,000 and bought a Lotus Elise, which then made the game too easy(stupid me). From there on out the game progressed very smoothly. To get the best car in the game(F1 car) I did the 24 hour Nuringburg race. There was no way I was gonna race for 24 hours straight, so I did the race in B-spec mode and x3(which is very useful) and left it on during the night while I slept since the A.I. pits for you. In the mourning I was delighted to see that there was only about an hour left in the race, when it was over I got the F1 car in one of the worst colors(yellow), and from there beat most of the other races. After playing the game for a VERY long while I have come away completely astonished and even more in love with cars than before. Gran Turismo 4 can be perfectly summed up by it's subtitle and slogan:"The Real Driving Simulator" and "The Drive Of Your Life"
