another gran turismo 4 review

User Rating: 7.5 | Gran Turismo 4 PS2
good: incredible "ps3" graphics on your ps2, realistic engine sounds, 700 cars, 50 tracks, plenty of customization options, each car feels and drives differently adds to the realism, u will win a car for every racing day/ license test you complete

bad: your opponents will just drive in a perminent line, ignoring your position on the track which will often result in them hitting you from the back rather then trying to overtake you..it's as if robots are drving those cars...and they never make "human" misstakes, license tests are a chore rather then fun...specially the long 10 min ones that u will have to restart if you were 0.01 seconds late (which means wasting another 10 min..), you will win a car for each driving day/license test you complete but 99% of the time it will be a slow car that you will most likely sell, very hard and frustrating for new players, what kind of driving simulator doesnt even have realistic car damage?

while the games presentation is superb, and the actual driving is quite realistic the game is full of chores like license tests and driving missions which take away a lot of the fun..while some people might enjoy these license test and driving missions others (including myself) will find them very boring and sometimes frustrating..if you are a fan of the series you will without a doubt enjoy this game..though it's not necessarily worth buying cus the gameplay is VERY simular, and so are the graphics..and the menus in gran turismo 3 are also much easier to navigate in..so the bottom line is that this is a game that many people will enjoy while others will find it fun yet too full of parts that you will not enjoy..so who ever you are my advice is RENT IT FIRST.
