A much better and longer version of Gran Turismo 3.
Gran Turismo 4 is basically a highly upgraded version of Gran Turismo 3. There are no real major or revolutionary improvements. Basically GT4 has a substianally higher number of cars, tracks and events. You no longer need a rally license and the licensing has been made much easier. The graphics are much better than that of Gran Turismo 3. You can also add Nos to your cars now. The Formula 1 has returned but you need to win a 24 hour long race to get it or get 100% completion which means you have to beat the 24 hour race anyway. The field still consists of only 6 cars and you still can't cause any damage. Although every car is detailed right down to the last feature.
Overall despite a few shortcomings this game is still very fun to play if you like driving games. 8.5/10
