Gran Turismo 4 is an amazing game. Sometimes, the gameplay may seem a tad too easy, but this isn't that big of a problem. The graphics are next-gen, no two ways about it. The detail, the draw distance, the lighting, the framerate, and the fact that it supports 1080i resolution all make this a true next-gen game. The sound is just as good as the graphics. The sounds in the game are great, but what really blew me away was the menu music. I found myself sitting there in the menu screen listening to this beautiful smooth jazz score. Even if the menus were in the least way cumbersome (which they aren't), I could overlook it because of the music. The presentation is also top-notch with a friendly, cool feel. The amount of content in this game is also incredible. In what other game can you go into the menu screen and buy a McLaren F1, and then go to another screen and buy a 1993 Mazda. You can even buy a 1945 cadallac! It seems as though every single car ever made was included in this game. Over 700! God, that's amazing! It is highly entertaining to go through the menus and just look at all of the different cars that are in the game. The actual racing action is fantastic and addictive, though I really wish there was damage modeling, because I just found myself bouncing off other cars around turns like you would do in Burnout. Don't get me wrong, it is still tons of fun, just that little aspect gets annoying sometimes. The phisics, needless to say, match the graphics in terms of realism. This is a buy type of game, not a renter. Buy it, buy it, buy it!
