Incredible graphics. Truthfully kind of boring though....
Controls are how they should be I suppose. Vibration works beautifully giving you a real sense of how racing would feel in real life. Analog stick is precise. You hold either X or R1 to accelerate. I preferred using R1. Sound could have been better. The opening intro theme is my favorite. The music that is played during the races though are flat and boring. None of them have any zing to it. The cars sound as how they should sound. Gameplay........I know this is how a racing game is supposed to be but it was kind of boring. Some of the license tests can be difficult. For example, there is a roughly ten minute course on one of the license tests. One has to go through that about ten minute course without making any mistakes, PLUS do a fast enough time for the bronze at least. Yes I know that should be easy...get a bronze and move on right? If you make one mistake on that roughly ten minute course though, even if the end is near and you accidentally drift slightly onto the outside dirt, you have to start over and try the test again. I guess I'm just not hardcore enough to have the patience to go through something like that. In hindsight, I don't think I should have bought this game in the first place. I was probably just bored and bought any random game that day. But I will admit though it is good at what it does. So coming from a casual gamer, I will tell you that if you have an interest in cars and know the slightest history of sports cars, you will like/love this game. If you are just looking for a quick fix, beware of how deep and technical this game can get. Play it with a friend and maybe that quick fix you were looking for can be had. I think the license tests are kind of pointless. But again for what it does, and if this is the type of game that suits you, then believe me when I say it's good at what it does......Like it says on the cover, it's a very technical and deep racing simulator
