6 years for this? Really?

Been a huge gran turismo fan since the beginning. Huge racing fan in general. Ive never felt let down by a Gran Turismo game...until now that is. Im not saying I hate the game. Im just saying in the 6 years of development, the folks over at Turn 10 have pushed the envelope and Polyphony Digital is behind the times. To begin with, having standard and premium cars is just bad. Polyphony Digital shot themselves in the foot right there. Yes there is a 1,000+ cars, yet only 200 or so that has "full features". Who's bright idea was this? Please fire them. Dont half way make a game, quickest way to lose customers. The one thing GT gets right is the physics. Blows away Forza. Sadly though, thats all GT has going for it. Graphics are inconsistant. Sometimes Im blown away, other times Im just shaking my head and wondering what happened. Then there is the 8gb install that takes almost an hour. For me, Im tired of having to install PS3 games to my hard drive just to make the load times bareble. Im sure there is a reason why load times are so bad for the system in general, Im sure its a hardware issue. I dont know for sure, so I wont go further. I can say for all certainty, this game may last the weekend, and thats it for me. I dont see it getting any better and that is a sad statement for me. The GT series is something that with each game I spend months playing at a time, yet now, it will most likely get a weekend and be done with it. I wont say dont give it a shot, the physics will impress you, the graphics at times will be amazing, and if you havent played Forza 3(which pains me, I ranted and sad wait for GT5, it will blow this game away) then by all means, get this game and you will most likely enjoy it. For those that are in the know, have played Forza and previous GT games, go into this game knowing its short comings and maybe, just maybe you will find more to it than I have.
