I don't see what the fuss is about here! The PSP is portable, and for that reason, I can see the logic of having no career mode on the game. Anyway, for me the single player part of the game very much reminds me of the arcade mode of the other gran turismo games and its suits the handheld perfectly in my opinion. You can still tune the cars and have access to many of the tracks available (although I don't see any night courses here!) and the best of all, those annoying license tests are not here, although the challanges are like the tests...

The drift trials are quite good, pick a car and track and then either do section drift trials or do the full lap trial, I find it addictive as I try to beat previous scores, it does make it extremely easy to earn prize money, so I think this could have been made more difficult. Now graphics and sound are on par with the PS2 versions - its that good! Saying that, some of the textures look rather watered down, but I'd say its only some of the track textures affected by this,

finally, the idea of tuning the cars are here but really wish the developers put in the ability to buy upgrades/parts. One thin I loved about the older games, was that you could tune your car into something ridiculously fast! you can't do that here! But still, 800 cars, many of the tracks all accessible on a handheld....can't complain!!!!...
