Grans Slam tennis is a decent game. The Gamespot review is pretty harsh on the game in my view, with the reviewer obviously not spending enough time with the game. The controls at first do seem a little different, manly due to the new control device, Montion Plus. At first, it seems to be a little strange, but with a bit of practice its not too hard and works quite well. You really need to get into the game with this device, swinging like you would in real tennis. Thats they key here, its like real tennis, without the years it takes to master, only a few games to get the hang of it. The carrer mode id fun and looks like it will take a while, and even on easy, its a challenge. This is a bit off putting when you first play, but as you get the hang of it you thank the game for offering a decent challenge and giving the game some replayability. The online modes work really well too, with no drop-outs or lag when I was playing. It offers a whole new way to play and gives the title some legs and allows you to keep going once you have smashed the main game. The multuplayer mini-games are also a lot of fun, with a good variety and challenges and they are accesible to all players. Overall, its a good tennis game, probably the best on wii so far. Stick with it, there is defnitly some fun to be had here. You need to get into this game, really let yourself go and you will enjoy it. Make sure you buy the wii motion plus bundle though, its a must with this game
