The second volume in the legendary series.

This car-boosting classic featured graphics that would be called rather primitive in the current day, but also has important features going for it.

You must roam the city swiping vehicles. In the process, you have to avoid getting killed by rival gangs. They have very little loyalty to anyone but their own brotherhood-- and the same goes for you. All you have is your map to warn you. Know the ugliest areas, and either stay out of them, or be ready to fight.

Your view in most of the process is overhead. I'm glad they changed it to the standing-character view in later games.

This model was different from its sequels in that the police are on your tail much more frequently. The blue lights home in on you not only when you steal or get in a brawl, but when you run a light or go up on a curb. Watch it.

The games to come would be easier in terms of character control, but perhaps not in the procedural challenges. They say it takes a thief to catch one. It takes a clever snake indeed to be one.
