Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack on Xbox is an amazing two-game pack for Xbox owners.

User Rating: 9.5 | Grand Theft Auto Double Pack XBOX
The Good:
Graphics look much shinier and cleaner this time around. Custom Soundtracks was a great idea for a new feature. Same strong game play.

The Bad:
Xbox controls could take sometime to get used to, but they work as well as the PS2 controls did.

Intro:
Grand Theft Auto III was released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2 and was hailed as revolutionary. Then a year later, a sequel, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released for the PlayStation 2 and gave GTA that sense of style. Xbox owners have waited for Grand Theft Auto to appear onto the Xbox, now, it has arrived. 2003, with both games in one awesome package.

Game play:
Core game play is still the same, which means it's both awesome and fantastic.

Graphics:
The main difference of the Double Pack is that the graphics have been bumped up, quite a bit actually. These games were cleaned up from their original PS2 releases. Now don't get me wrong the PS2 versions definitely looked fantastic, given the relatively underpowered PS2 it's best in graphics. Somehow though the Xbox versions look more brighter and cleaner, and the graphical enhancements made to both games really helps things turn around differently.

Music and Sound:
The "Double Pack'' takes advantage of the Xbox sound hardware with the addition of Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound which in turn sounds crystal clear. One nice addition to the "Double Pack'' is that there's Custom Soundtracks. So now you can listen to songs inside your car after you Rip CD's to your Xbox hard-drive.

Controls:
Controls have been altered to fit the Xbox controller, but it works just as well as the PS2 controller. Left top joystick for moving. A for running. X for jumping. L for aiming (and for reverse when you're in a car) and R for shooting (and for forward when you're in a car).

Lasting Appeal:
The Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack for Xbox is a excellent package for Xbox owners who hasn't played these games yet. 9.6 out of 10.
