GTA3 is somewhat of a free-roamer and an adventure. There is enough crap in this game to make it a perfect action romp with a LOT of good twists. You are given the role of Claude Speed, a convicted criminal who escapes narrow death when a bomb goes off on Calahan Bridge, blowing everything up. Claude becomes a wanted man and tries to stay off the streets by getting jobs and missions from bosses, but only gets into more crap. You take orders from your buddy, 8-Ball, who turns out to be...*cough"...sorry, I was about to give a spoiler. The gameplay is all flash, and quite frankly, a lottta substance. You can't drive boats or fly planes, but hey? It's still kicks crime ass. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want and get into trouble at doing so. Without GTA3, the PS2 wouldn't have been so cool!
