In my experience, 3rd person shooters are better on the PS2. The PS2 controller seems to function better with fighting games and 3rd person shooters than the XBob controller does (the XBox is good with FPS). So, I'm gonna judge this game for PS2. First off, this is Rockstar's first fully 3D GTA game. Wow. It looks great, and the enormous amount of space to explore is awesome. For the first 3D GTA, I was surprised Rockstar did as good as they did translating a 2D game into 3D. The only problem I have is the somewhat linear mission system, but it works. The biggest problem I have (tho' a very small one) is having to do missions to unlock new areas to get to.
