Definitely a good extension of GTA IV. Rockstar fixed a lot of problems, and gave you some sick ass toys to play with!

If you remember GTA IV from last year, you probably read all the heart throbbing, 10/10 reviews dripping with lust for Niko Bellic. It seems like you're supposed to treat Lost and the Damned like a whole new game, but really it's best treated as an extension, You get more guns, you get more missions and you get a little more playability out of the game. This has to be the most complete DLC package i have ever seen. Theres about 5 to ten hours of missions and a bunch of fun little activities to do. Some activities such as gang wars are really cool, while others such as arms wrestling and cards look dull and boring, and i didnt really play them. Rockstar fixed up the bike system so this time around you cant fall off as easily either. The new weapons are just so **** awesome. Each one deals a lot of damage and once you've used them you wonder why they werent in the previous game. The automatic pistol is the **** as you can rip apart people from a mile away in three seconds. The auto shotgun is simply god on the battlefield, and it's basically the best weapon ever introduced into liberty city. You also get pipe bombs and couple others, which will all serve their purpose. Since the game is oriented around biker gangs, you'll get to roll with a sick ass clique and go all out in formation, taking down other bikers with sawn offs. The formation thing is interesting, and it's kind of funny that you can no longer change your clothes. The downside to this game is character development. I loved Niko, but Johnny just isn't that great of a person. He's a middle aged jackass on a bike, and if that's not bad enough, you actually feel like an ass clown when you play as him. As Niko, going from rags to riches was pretty spectacular, but as Johnny, you're already at riches. The other bikers you hang out with are also complete douches, and as for your girlfriends? Well, you only get one, and she's addicted to meth and looks like a chimera. The new weapons and vehicles do provide a lot of fun rampage wise, and you'll figure out some cool things to do to the cops while you play. For 20 bucks, just buy the game. Even though it has it's short comings, it has a lot of content and it almost as long as full released video games. It's well worth the 1600 microsoft points, but beware, the download takes forever. You might not entirely like Lost and the Damned, but there's enough cool content to keep you serene. and for it's price it's well worth it.
