The old GTA formula makes this game instantly great and some new ideas make it amazing.

In GTAIV New yor..I mean Liberty city really does feel alive. For instance: For the first time in a GTA game other citizens can be arrested and but in the back of a cop car. Traffic jams wherever you are the sidewalk is bristling with people. There are hours worth of television and radio alone, not to mention the internet with well over 100 web pages. The mini games you can find across the city include Pool,darts,Bowling,Some retro arcade games...The list goes on. Ok now i have went over the miniscule parts of GTAIV lets get on to the gameplay. The new engine GTA is using is a lot more realistic. In some ways this is good and in others it's not so good. Some good points include- Great cover system,realistic shootouts,more intense missions... Some bad points include- Constantly tapping A when sprinting or sharp turns in a car can be difficult etc. The story is one of the most gripping and intense so far with some great missions including an unforgettable bank heist and kidnapping a girl by pretending to buy her car. This game offers you a lot of choice in the missions with your choice then impacting future missions. For the first time GTAIV has an official multiplayer acssesible through the in game mobile phone. The multiplayer consists of a varitey of game modes Including the normal team death match,death match,free roam but also introducing some new modes such as cops and crooks and hangman's noose.
All in all this game is not without it's flaws but definitely an unmissable experience and one of the best games of this generation.
