An average game in a world of games being over-cooked

User Rating: 5.5 | Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories PS2
The grand theft auto games in general are good, but also, what I like to call over-cooked. Meaning they seem to just try to hard.

THE GOOD

As usual, bloody rampaging and mafia missions, wide variety of objectives, and people to do jobs for. The games music is good, and the radio stations and commercials are hilarious. The missions can be fun, and have a good story-line to back them up. There are some decent spats of humor here and there.

THE BAD

In this game the money you earn is next to useless, In other GTA games you could sometimes bribe people off and buy new hide-outs, well not here. The only thing you ever use your money for is the occasional pay and spray and guns, there are a few minute others, but thats pretty much all you can buy. The missions feel like they were taken out of Grand theft auto 3 and just changed slightly. The cars in this game have un-realistic handling abilities especially the bikes, you can take pretty much every turn when at top speed. The graphics in this game don't even compare to games from 2004 and on. The animations are choppy and were obviously thrown together.

OVER-ALL

Unless your one of the million obsessed GTA fans, then don't even bother, it's easily been done better in older games, not to mention the possibility of Grand Theft Auto 4 having some much needed improvements.
