The best game ever, no question!

User Rating: 9.9 | Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PS2
There are not enough words in the english dictionary to explain just how great this installment in the Grand Theft Auto series really is. An amazing blend of action, adventure, racing and even RPG elements make this game a truly incredible piece work. The thing that makes this so great is how remarkably Rockstar was able to mix these elements into a cohesive and most of all fun gaming experience. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is larger than a majority of the biggest RPG's, offers more racing than the best driving games, and delivers tighter action than Halo 1 and 2, combined. The story mode in the GTA will take you roughly 40-60 hours to complete, depending on how many side-quests you decide to take. And after you finish the story you still have only completed about 60% of the games modes and unlockables. As you can tell GTA: SA is expansive upon belief; when you tell your friends that you can have anywhere upwards of 200 - 300 hours of gameplay before you get 100%, they will probably shake there heads with disbelief. Then you can start all over again, because the replay value of this game exceeds that of any FPS or MMORPG your likely to find. Even fanboys of Halo and World Of Warcraft, will likely shake there head with the amount of time you will spend with the game. I even know people myself, who after beating the game 3 times have now decided to try and finish the game without failing a single a mission, and also making sure that they don't die. Now lets move on. The gameplay: The controls are like butta and are never something you have to think about, the load times when there are any, are near no-exsistant due to the seamless world you will be able to fly around in. From one city to another, no load times; that is almost unheard of on the PC, let alone the Sony's aging PS2 hardware. The story is better than most RPG's you will ever play and interesting characters will keep you coming back again and again. The graphics: While the graphics in GTA: SA are not something you are going to write home to mother about, they are still quite impressive due to its size and hardware the game is running on. Beautiful lighting, grat looking cars, and decent character models make this game pretty enough to speak of, but nothing to brag about. The sound: This is another area in which all the GTA games have shined. Rockstar has always been known for great use of music in this series, and this time is no diffent. Artsits ranging from Dr. Dre to Rod Steward to Willie Nelson, this game has it all and it all sounds fantastic. GTA also has alot of radio talk shows and commericals; this is one of my favorite parts of the game. Every single line was wirtten and delived with great comedic feeling that some of the things are just so funny, at times you will have to stop your car because you are laughing so hard. The phrase "Bust a Gut" really works here. I feel like Rockstar has not only released the best game of the year, but probably ever. Coming back time and time again is not only as fun as it was the first time, it is usually more fun. Games are supposed to be an escape from daily life and with Rockstar doing there thing, I don't think we have very much to worry about. Way to go Rockstar!
