GTA San Andreas = Excellent Game
User Rating: 9.5 | Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PS2
Let me just start off by saying: GTA San Andeas is an great game. Vice City wasn't a big leap from GTA 3, but San Andreas is a huge leap. The map alone is 6 times larger than Vice City's, including a country side, badlands, three large cities, and even a desert. Each area has a lot of things to explore from funny pedestrians to numerous easter eggs. The city you start in, Los Santos, is based off of Los Angelas. Ranging from wreckless ghettos to the glamorous city. In my opinion its the best city in the entire game. San Fierro, the second city is based off of San Fransisco. It even includes the Golden Gate Bridge, called the Gant Bridge in the game. The hilly streets will favor you of the real San Fransisco. The third city, Las Venturas, based off of Las Vegas, has all of the casinos you can imagine, and the city looks really nice at night too. Overall, the cities are very well done & detailed Gameplay-wise: the game is still based off drive-n-shoot as the other GTAs, but San Andreas offers new variety, like four-person drive-bys, and the tweaked controls is much better and slicker than the previous GTAs. New types of missions are available, like sticking out of the sun-roof of your car, while your partner tries to escape from the fuzz, and shooting anyone who tempts you. Sound: the sound is above average. (not speaking of the radio-stations, which are excellent) I say this because the cars don't sound very realistic, such as when you screech your tires, but you'll get used to it. The voice acting is amazing, it has top-notch actors like Samuel L. Jackson to Clifton Powell. Graphics: the worst part of the game. I know a lot of people say its not the graphics that count, but its the gameplay, which is true, but in San Andreas, they really need to be improved. It has some very bad frame rate issues, too. Value: Worth $50+
