Must-Have for the PS2.
User Rating: 9.9 | Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PS2
If you own a PS2, you need this game. Like Final Fantasy X, or Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. While GTA:SA didn't make any massive improvements in design, it did feature a massive world to explore, that could will take you hours upon hours to fully explore, Vice City was big for it's time, but once you experience Los Santos for the first time you realize how small Vice City was, and then you realize the rest of San Andreas isn't even availble yet. The vehicular aspects are the same as the other games, with the addition of more cars and motorcycles as usual. But the greatest part of the cars in SA is the ability to customize them, not as fully as I was expecting, but you can add spoilers, nitro, body kits(to some), hydrolics, and a small aray of wheels/rims, which is the only disappointing about the customization aspects. Airplanes have become more than just Dodos thankfully, you get to fly jets in this one now, even WWII looking planes with guns, no missles though, until you progress. When you reach the third city in the game you should check out the large hanger in the airport for a nice surprise. Sadly though the boats haven't been upgraded that much, just a few tweaks with the mechanics are noticable, I was hoping to see a submarie, but at least you can swim. The storyline is great, more polished and takes you on plot twists to keep you interested in the games storyline, so you won't just wander off into Los Santos or San Fiero without progressing, you'll eventually become hooked with the story and want to find out what trouble Officer Tenpenny is getting you into. Side-missions, who dosen't love side-missions, these are not only fun but can also help furthur the story for you and keep the game more enjoyable. SA has a lot of side missions, to keep you busy throughout the entire game, and even after you've beaten it, to achieve 100% completion. Soundtrack, nothing special, sadly, but keeps with the games timeline. Mainly what you would find on your average radio station in 1992. Overall, GTA SA is a must for anyone with a PS2.
