San andreas improves on previous gta titles in most ways while adding a moral scheme though ambiguous to cj.

i held off buying san andreas for a loooong time. i wasn't keen on the whole gangbanger theme, nor was i overtly impressed by the controversial problems the hot coffee incident caused. it's possible this game may still spell doom for rockstar if jack thompson has his evil way, but the game is technically proficient, entertaining, and expansive beyond measure.

well done rockstar, i take back all my reservations. the game is extremely well put together. i still think there should be major warning labels for parents not to buy this for the youngins' but that's more to protect you guys rather than them.

ok off my soapbox. mechanics in the game are the best gta has done yet. physics are still a little wonky, but the a.i. is incredible. i never expected the npc's to be this good. the gameplay is typical gta fare but with soul this time around. the missions are varied as per their m.o. and hearing james woods and sam jackson doesn't hurt gameplay either.

if you're looking for innovation....not so much, but if you're looking for more of what made gta a gaming powerhouse franchise....then cock your hk. it's time to play.
