As you may know (lest you have been under a rock your whole life) Grand Theft Auto is the king of the consoles with Halo nipping at its heels, and this year's installment of Grand Theft Auto does not disappoint. First of all the story can seem stale to fans of the series but it is still enjoyable. After Carl Johnson (CJ) comes home to Los Santos after his mother dies he hooks up with his old crew and gains respect in the San Andreas world. Trying to find who killed his mother is no easy task, he has to get through Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas. Gameplay If you have played GTA before you can get a good feel of the controls from the start. The graphics are refined and so is the targeting system which rounds out an altogether great experience Sound Sound effects are pretty well the same and basically good from the last few. The music is diverse and radio stations are funny. Voice Acting Young Maylay lends his voice to this game and I have yet to hear someone say the F word with such vigor and confidence. James Woods pulls down another of his great performances later in the game. Value Many new mini-games and RPG elements add to the steal-kill-repeat aspect of the game, as well as parachuting (YES!) The Grand Theft Auto series, they are all great, and SanAndreas is no exception. It is a rare gem in a world of Low Market, Low Budget games that are mass produced.
