My resume includes completing both GTAIII and Vice City. I've played through the majority of the San Andreas and I agree with the average score from the community. Take my word for it, this is one of the pinnacle games for the PS2 and the best in the series. Buy this game and savor the experience because events like this come only a few times a year or towards the end of a systems life cycle. I'll admit I was skeptical at first about how good this game could be but that all soon disappeared within the first hour of playing. There is so much to do in SA besides completing the primary missions, the opportunities seem endless. The graphics are a little dated but I know the system is being pushed to its limits. The environment is so hugh and moderately detailed with visual effects that the positives, by far, outweigh the negatives. The sound is great but the soundtrack is what really sold me in the first place. I like good sound effects along with the appropiate theme music, it really sets the tone for the game or for whatever mood your in. Endless opportunities with all the games within the game creates alot of value. I do not give perfect scores on any review because nothing is without flaws but this game comes very close to perfection.
