What a surprise, it's really good.

User Rating: 8.5 | Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories PS2
What a surprise. The GTA port for PS2 was surprisingly fun and addictive. It felt like a playing a sort of fresh, new GTA when it was basically Vice City 2.0 with a lot of extras. The best way to describe it is that it is a combination of Vice City and San Andreas. The main character is Vic Vance, Lance Vance's brother. He is a soldier and not a criminal but, a good guy who gets pulled into the crime life. It has a lot of extra new things in Vice City Stories compared to Vice City. You can fight gangs like in San Andreas and take over their businesses. Businesses such as loan shark, prostitution, robbery, smuggling, drug running and protection. These businesses require you to do missions for them. You can round up a posse like in San Andreas and kill opposing gang members. You can also buy your weapons from the hospital and police station after being killed or arrested. There are also some new vehicles like 2 new motorcycles, a bike and a plane that isn't a seaplane. Also the aiming system is better. The bonus missions have been improved, you can now drive people and drop them off and wait for them while they take of their business like shopping or robbing a store and you can even be paid to follow other cars. The graphics are decent, a little worse compared to Vice City. The soundtrack is also decent. For $20 it's a great buy. I give this game a 8.7.
