This game will give you hours of fun each time you play it
There havent been many new changes to the gameplay from its predessesor, GTA 3, apart from being able to crouch and ride motorbikes. Motorbikes are the most fun moce of transport with them going so fast. There is a danger to going fast with a motorbike though. If you crash into something at full speed you will go flying off your motorbike and damage your health. This spoils going on the motorbikes because you have to be cautious of hitting something. If you crash in a car you wont go flying but you damage your car. Pay 'n Spray stores are places where you can repair your vehicle and give it a new look by painting it. These are very useful because if you are in a cop chase you can just find a Pay 'n Spray store, change the look and the cops wont recognise you. Cops are a magure part of the game. If you do a small thing like punch someone or steal their car when a cop is in sight you will get a 1 star wanted rating. This isn't bad as you can easily get away. 2 stars is when the cops will start following and shooting you. 3 stars is when it starts really heating up. A helicopter will appear from the sky and shine a light on you so the cops can find you better. By 4 stars the helicopter will begin to shoot. 5 stars will bring in the FBI and 6 stars will bring in the army with their tanks. Vice City will see you doing a lot of missions for many people throughout the city. You can do missions for Cuban Gangsters, Haitian Gangsters, Biker Gangsters, singular rich people and many more. This adds up to a lot of missions and the game is very long. As you progress through the game you will be able to use different vehicles. Cars and motorbikes are available right from the start of the game. Later on you can drive boats and helicopters. Helicopters are the main source of transport. They will get you to anywhere in the town. There are many different cars to drive. From slow normal cars to fast sports cars. Without money you have nothing to do on the game. You cant buy businesses or weapons or anything. Completing missions will give you money so its important that you do them. You can get into a taxi and make money from that, but doing missions will give you much more.
The graphics are ok but there could have been some slight improvements. Some of the textures look rather blurry and not very detailed. Having said that there are some great lighting effects on the game. At night time when its dark building will show off their bright lights. These are really cool and you can see some of the best of the graphics when it dark. Overall the graphics relitavley ok but nothing amazing.
The sound is probably the best aspect of GTA Vice City. With the game being set in the 1980's all the music on the radio is 80's music. You might recoginise some of this music. You can listen to the radio when you are in a vehicle. The radio also does advertisments. These advertisments are really funny and it brings a sense of humour to the game. All the voice actors are great and the script is well written.
There is lots to do on GTA Vice City. You are bound to get your moneys worth.
GTA Vice City is like all GTA games superb. This will give hours of fun each time you play it. Not as good as GTA San Andreas but still a brilliant purchase none the less
