GTA:VC PS2
And VC does this brilliantly!
Everything that worked in GTA3, size, story, charecters, radio action and freedom is back. Everything that didn't work, a nameless chaceter, slight graphic problmes and so so music are gone. The graphics are brighter and clearer. The audio is a collection of classic eighties tracks, and some of the most hilarious commentry ever. Anyone who played GTA3 will remember Lazlow and ChatterBox, simply speaking, VC's Maurice Chazes and VCPR is better. Finally you don't play the same nameless mute, now you're Tommy Vercetti, voiced superbly by Ray Liotta. Tommy is easily one of the best charecters to out of games ever.
Set several years before GTA3, VC has one or two charecters back, but that's it. The rest are a new bunch of criminals, rockstars, mafia goons, crime bosses and a few others. The missions work the same as GTA3's and more creative this time. There a plenty of well thought out, action packed missions. You'll ride in a chopper with an m60 attacking enemies from the sky, attack a mob bosses mansion, run down a street with a chainsaw chasing some hapless goon and many more.
New to VC are to sets of vehicles, bikes that are faster then most cars and aircraft. It's possible to steal a chopper now so if you feel like joyriding in a VCPD bird go right ahead. Even better is a military attack chopper though, its got a minigun and rockets and its worth the effort to find.
There's so much more to say about VC, but simply I don't have time to, just rest assured that its one of the best games you'll ever play becasue no one can tell exactly what will happen. You'll have dozens of player authored moments that'll live on in memory.
