A fun game that just doesn't have long term value.
It is a fun game. I enjoy it, but it ends sooo fast. In maybe about 24 hours of game time I have beaten every level on all three difficulties with minimal effort. The game is just too easy and too short.
Part of the game is about winning battles to gain honor. The more battles the win (and the better you win them) the more honor you gain. You can then unlock new abilities, ships, etc with that honor.
I had already unlocked everything after beating only half of the levels (across all three difficulty settings). Not only did this only take maybe ten hours, it was completely pointless. Almost all of the upgrades that you purchase are useless. You still use most of the same abilities and pieces that you start out with.
There is online play, which I haven't tried, but I can't imagine this being more than another 24 hours worth of interest. The game is fun, but it just doesn't have staying power. I would buy this game for $5.00 or less.
