More of an expansion than a sequel
Like the origional, it does a great job of accurately portraying tournament style paintball, but with more features. I think the best new feature is the breakout manager, which allows you to set which bunker your teammates run to, and allows you set which teammates shoot off the break, and which ones shoot lanes, which you can set yourself, when the reach their bunkers. It really can give you an advantage to have a couple guys laning when you start.
As far as new items that you can get, there really isnt much new. You cant change the colors of your different pieces of gear, and surprisingly there are no Empire products features. There are a couple new high end guns, which are mostly WGPs, and some may be disappointed that there are still no smart parts guns, which would have made the choices for high end guns more complete.
Other small things could have been added to make the game a better simulation of playing paintball, such as chopping paint, barrel breaks, loader jams, and on-field referees.
