Ok hockey fans, you got it! Gretzky NHL 2006 is here. Despite all the bad reviews people have been giving it its really a great game. I’ve played EA Sports NHL 2006 and NHL 2k6 and I have to say Gretzky 2006 beats them all. First off Gretzky 2006 has way better graphics and the cut scenes are unbelievable. The animations are awesome! The goalies move so real. The players have unbelievable dekes. Behind the back between the legs, spins, realistic slapshots, this game has it all. I’ve read the review that gamespot gave it and I was really annoyed. First off the say that the game plays like an arcade game, well if they would take a second and read the box they would see its made to be an arcade game but with a little bit of a simulation feeling. Secondly they were complaining about the big hits in the game. Why would you complain about big hits? That’s what makes the game, I don’t know about you guys but when I play a game I love to see big hits in the boards or open ice body checks!. But enough about that, back to more about the game. The game offers Franchise mode which is pretty neat, its pretty much like any other franchise mode on any sports game but a little more in depth. It shows you the income and expenses of your team and how much salary cap you have left to sign someone. Ohh and also if you log online with it the game will download the new updated roster which you can use when you start a franchise unlike in NHL2k6. Yes the game is 39.99 a little bit more than NHL 2006 and NHL 2k6 but its well worth the money, if you like big hits, big goals and great graphics Gretzky NHL 2006 is the game for you!
