Bought this game thinking it would be one of the best - disappointing.
When I started up this game I immediately thought it was a winner, the graphics were excellent, I was called by my name during the races, just like I was actually there racing in big tournaments.
As I got further into the game I found myself only wanting to do one race before I got bored and quit. Basically, this game is good, but only if you play one race at a time. Again, the graphics are ideal, the damage is also fantastic. I'm not a great fan of the "flashback" feature in which you can rewind the race and start again from any point within the last couple of seconds (these are limited). I found that I was using this feature every single time I experienced a bit of understeer and ended up having none left by the time I had smashed my car into a barrier and it had konked out.
In comparison to Gran Turismo this game is way off in my opinion. You rarely have to brake when going round corners and whenever you do, the computer controlled players hurtle past you slamming into you and in the process ramming your car into a barrier. Don't get me wrong the damage is excellent, I like the way it affects your cars' performance. Admittedly, Gran Turismo doesn't currently have this feature but apparently GT5 will contain damage which will put it way above Grid.
Personally, I would wait until the release of GT5 before buying this game, GT is far more realistic and with the damage it will be far above this game.
