Car racing has always been fun, pity the real world doesnt think so.

The days of Outrun from the arcades is over. this is where the race driver series continues. From the revolutionary days of the first race driver, this brings something to the table in the form of great graphics. Car racing, crashing, competition for the podium finish runs thru all of you who enjoy a good car chase.
The game sets off introducing you to the world of crash N bash cars before you can actually race any of the super cars or open wheelers. Choose a name, choose some sponsers and get out on the track. Any selection will do, its up to you to keep in on the track and outta the pits. So with that said you off chasing the field and not being overwhelmed by the passing audience hanging over the fence waving you on. A slight slip of the eye and your into the fence, not just a gentle nudge, but a 130g smash that fuses the atoms of your car with where a concrete wall used to be and your game is over. But fear not your shown an reply of just how your managed to write off your car and rety from the beginning, and that is where you get another chance at life.
You usually race in a group of 11 cars, maybe a couple of different classes but generally you cant catch them, you do your best to get to the front and stay there but the computer players have this annoying habbit of nudging you from behind and your off into the grass or wall again. So you restart once, twice, three times and then its time to head to the uninstall program before you throw your keyboard/steering wheel. Dont get me wrong, its a great game to play, but these annoying crashes to start over soon get the better of you, and you havent even got to the open wheeler races yet. But that's enough of the game play.
The graphics are stunning and unless you have a modern graphics card, I wouldn't bother buying it cause it just wont have the same appeal, you'll just being playing a modern day Outrun with low resolution graphics. So with your trusty 9000+ nvidia card cranked, your looking at the detail of your car, the details of the track and those hanging over the fence waving you on. Excellent springs to mind but you dont have time to look, youll just have to wait for the replay.
Sounds good, sound very good, lots of cheering from the trackside, "yeahs" and "boos" when you overtake, crash, scrap the wall, the depth of the sounds are only over shadowed by the great graphics.
So car racing fans, get out and have a drive of the sound racer.
