Brilliant game, basics overlooked!!!

I dont normally review games that often but felt i just had to raise quite a major point with Grid. First off do not get me wrong, i'm an avid racing game fan and think Grid is easily one of the finest ever to be made, kudos to Codemasters! However i wanted to touch on something that seems to be ignored by all the other reviewers and most definately by Codemasters. Firstly and most importantly, where are pitstops??? this may seem like a very small point indeed but Codies are now playing with endurance racing, namely the 24 hours of Le mans. This is a race where pit stops are crucial and add an immense amount to the race. Codies have included the Audi R10, a superb racer which racing fans will agree is powered by a diesel engine, making it marginally slower than other racers at Le mans but needing fewer pitstops thus turning it into a clear winner at the real thing. However in Grid these pitstops are nowhere to be seen. I tried heading for a pit stop in the game version and was met with a very large barrier and a pit lane which was full of spectators! For me this is quite a major overlook and makes me concerned for Codies forthcoming F1 game as they seem to have a very strange aversion to pitstops!! (Anyone remember the dot on the map affair in Race driver 3??) Driving the Le mans in the game is a true pleasure (albeit on the 24 minute setting!) but the pitstops would have elevated it into something sublime. My last point is where is the option of a simple time trial???? maybe this is something you unlock but it is nowhere to be seen on my pc version and i find it very odd. Overall though this is a truly wonderfull game, i just had to raise these points. Thanks for reading.
