Nothing special
User Rating: 7.5 | Race Driver: GRID PC
The game is good but has many faults. It's not nearly as realistic as say GTR 2 (or part 1) or DiRT. The AI are just way too good in a lot of the races for it to be fun. In the Le-man's race it is impossible to beat the AI. I raced a good race and by the end I was 30 seconds behind the next car. I gave it a 7.5 mostly because of the graphics. Another thing that really bugs me is the fact the brake lights of the cars ahead of you are really hard to see causing many crashes in corners. There's also not really any mod options in GRID like gear ratio, suspension hardness, tire pressure, etc.. Also you can only adjust the deadzone of the controls in increments of 5 and the throttle seems to be either full or nothing while playing. In GTR you can actually use half throttle in corners. In Grid it seems like you either go too fast into corners or not nearly fast enough. If you are a fan of racing sims this game is worth trying, but you'd have money well spent by looking at GTR 2 instead. GTR 2 has many, many more and better features and is much more fun (especially the 100+ lap races).
