If you have the right stuff or Setting to play this game , then, it must be great !
1st : if you are PC gamer and live with keyboard & mouse
Then, it maybe hard for you to fully experience the race . I have a hard time with this kind of control with "Tap, tap" method and some aids ( i don't like it but it is the only thing can help me with the sensitive problem) . I have some suggests that may work for you if you fall in this case :
a - Using the mouse for steering
left button for acceleration (clutch may be assisted with the right button)
but brake and shift with others key
You should use brake aids to prevent the the conflict between too sensitive mouse controlling and the brake key .
b -Using only keyboard with "Tap-Tap" method , you should be set with the already confirmed key in game and set the shift key some where you feel comfortable . it will be a good combo of brake , shift down, clutch in 1 side and accelerate , shift up , turning in 1 side . No aids in this mode is possible .
Tips for this setting is don't press too much key at the same time ! You should be dynamic on using throttle /brake , not to press and keep the key.

2nd: if you have a xbox360 controller ( or others controller )
Then, you maybe all set for a good experience although , it's not perfect but it is better than using keyboard . There will be 2 settings that I feel good :
a- Using left thumb stick for steering , right for shift up/down
the RT = Accelerate , LT=Brake, RB=handbrake and LB for Clutch
adjust the sensitive setting for steering to zero ,
throttle/brake to around 25~50%
This setting should make you feel easy to control but don't let you to fully feel your car . I suggest you to use "cockpit" mode ,so you could measure how hard you are turning , else , you should use swingman .
b-Using RT/LT for Steering LEFT/RIGHT
Left thumb for throttle(DOWN ) /brake (UP)
Right thumb for shift up/down
the Clutch maybe somewhere.... :D
Adjust your steering sensitive to 10~25 % , throttle/brake to 0~ 25 %
This setting maybe hard at first , but after a while you will "Feel" the car and the road better . In my opinion , it is the best setting for you to go with this game if you just have a controller ! Give it a Try !

3rd : if you have a racing wheel ......
Maybe I don't need to say anything about this ,because you must be all set !
If you are going to buy one , i suggest momo racing wheel for a cheap price , and the famous G25 if you have enough money . I saw a man on youtube bought a life-like shifter , it's cool :D
======================================================
Some others setting may be useful for you when you get used to the game :
- The simulation mode should be turn on , you only need the auto clutch /reverse and the mark corner if you like .
- The Advanced setting :
turn the G-force/ Bias sim to 100%
( This should keep the game more realistic along with the sim mode)
Apex turn to zero .
( This let you control better , if you need to turn your sight ,use the key)
World movement to around 50~ 100%
( How fast or how true the speed is , I suggest 100% , so you can feel and remember the road better )

Final words : I hope someone bought the game and still seek around for a way to control this game will read my Review . I must have made this to be a walk-through or Hint & tips but i don't see that tab in this page. Now you may know how to handle this game better with the stuff you are having. So , just try it and stop the bad review on Controlling problem ! This is a very nice game , be patient and stop ruining it !
