GTR 2 is one of the most unique and detailed simulated racing games I've ever come across. The amount of settings you can change to your car, the track you race on, and assists is enormous, and when you drive, you can feel the effect of every single setting change. The tracks are very detailed, and the physics are great, but it's also a tough game. You're punished for every mistake you make, if you even touch the edge of the grass or sand on the exit of a corner, you will either slow down or spin out, and you can see the other cars catching up, but also because of this, when you nail a corner, perfect a lap, and pull off an amazing lap time, it's so much more rewarding. The graphics are pretty good, especially for it's time, but they haven't aged too well. But who needs absolutely perfect graphics when the gameplay is this good? The sounds are brilliant, too. The engines sound lifelike and meaty, not whiny like in most other racers.

GTR 2 requires the utmost concentration and skill you possess, and it takes a lot of practice to get used to, but it's so worth it. I spent 2 hours straight on the same track when I first got this game, it never never lost it's excitement. This game pushes you to improve more and more, it's fantastic.
