I played Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. I loved the games and put in countless hours. I was very excited when they announced Guild Wars 2. Over the last 4 years I have been eagerly waiting for what seemed one of the best MMO's to be released. I was not disappointed. This game has changed a lot from GW1 but is still GW at heart. The changes have all been for the good of the series. I simply love the dynamic events and questing. For the dynamic events and questing you do not go to a NPC and get your quest but rather run out into the world and see the quest happening before your eyes. For once I feel like its worth my while to explore the world around me and see what i can find. Questing is awesome! I could never go back to the traditional quest log again. Using skills is different that traditional MMO's but it works great. Not having to party up with people is awesome! You just join in the fun and get xp for it. Leveling is easy and the game rewards you for everything you do. It is not a grind fest. I do not feel like I'm killing mob after mob for a drop loot. The environments are beautiful and vary in scenery. If you have a PC that can push the game to full potential it looks amazing! Skills are fun to use and you don't have the holy trinity of Tank, DPS, and healer. You are all 3 and can give support to other players and but not feel solely dependent upon them. You can map anywhere you have explored previously which saves a lot of travel time. Especially for someone like me that plays in short play sessions. I feel like i can play for 30 minutes and accomplish things. The community feels friendly and generally helpful. I have not played World vs World yet so i cannot comment on that. I have been playing a Charr Ranger and really enjoy the PVE. This is a perfect game that takes out a lot of the fluff/grind/travel time in traditional MMO's and puts you right in the action from the start. I am in no hurry to rush through the game, this will be a game, i will be playing for years to come just like GW1. Great job ArenaNet
