Eight years ago, Guilty Gear was released for the Playstation and it was awesome! 2 more sequels popped out . Guilty Gear X and Guilty Gear X2. Both stellar games. Now Sammy Studios have given it a 2 vs 2 approach ( Marvel vs Capcom 2). It seems nice to have both Sol and Ky as allies but the control system makes this game much harder than it should be. In order to look to your left, you have to press the L1 button to switch your direction that your facing. You can also "slide" back into the background to right your other opponent. I wish this game had the old GG mechanics so this game can get the rating it deserves but that won't happen. Guilty Gear is a great fighting series but with a sequel like this? I don't see Sammy going back to it's roots. The graphics are better stellar and so is the sound. In fact? The soundtrack is awesome. It's the this game isn't as fun as it used to be. Roman Cancel is out, no standard direction mechanics, no single arcades and few unlockables. If you want to get this game? I only recommend it to the most hardcore of Guilty Gear fans.
