Not much different on the surface...but lots of new changes, mainly for the best.

User Rating: 9.8 | Guilty Gear XX Slash PS2
Ok, so the Guilty Gear series has always been my favorite 2-D fighter. The best 2-D fighting engine, characters that have lots of personality also being completely unique and different from each other, uses HIGH RES sprites (Capcom could learn from them), looks great, and has an AWESOME soundtrack. I really don't want to explain the story, because i've said GG's story too many times to my friends, but the gameplay is the main issue at hand for GGXX:Slash. On the surface in terms of looks, it's the same game as GGXX: Reload. But with the release of Slash, 2 new characters are added: A.B.A from GG:Isuka, and Holy Order Sol. Also 2 new stages, and 2 new songs.(of which has a new interface where you can choose your song and stage) This is definately the most balanced GGXX yet. The dust loop for Sol is gone, and many other cheap things were taken out. Some characters got buffed, like Ky and Johnny, while others got nerfed, like Jam and Dizzy. Everything else is the same. It's what GGXX was meant to be, also perfectly balanced, a few more characters, and just retaining the awesomeness that is Guilty Gear. If you don't own GGXX yet, order this one. It's worth importing. (P.S-this game has a high learning curve. against pros, noobs get owned hardcore)
