Activision gets back on track finally; NOT a ridiculous influx of peripherals.
The party play is quite possibly my favorite new feature. Most of my GH5 use occurred during extensive Friday night parties so the ability to have someone drop in/out of play has been extremely convenient. When i first heard about the feature was a little put off; it seemed that the game was being taken in a MORE casual direction. I was instantly relieved to learn that the game is just as much for the hardcore player as it has ever been. The difficulty of the game is maintained, if not increased.
Then there is the ability to import tracks from GH:World Tour, Metallica, Band Hero, and (hopefully) GH:Van Halen. I was ecstatic to learn that this feature would be included.
The graphics are, simply put, phenomenal. I understand that music games are not about visual appeal but it is worth a mention.
Overall, if you're a fan of the genre Guitar Hero 5 is more than worth a play or two.
