Move over Rock Band, Guitar Hero is BACK!
New and multiple game modes ensure a different experience every time. The setlist is extremely varied, ranging from older classics such as the Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty, to much more modern pop and metal hits of today, each with with varying difficulties that should please casual players an hardcore gamers, alike.
Guitar Hero 5 is MUCH more user-friendly than any past guitar heros. The Party Play option is great for casual players, allowing them to pick instrument and difficulty right in the middle of the song and allowing others to jump in and out whenever they want.
The best option however, is the instrument compatibility. Hate taking turns for lead guitar? No problem, for there can be up to 4 people playing ANY instrument at ANY difficulty at the SAME TIME.
This game is not without its problems however. Online multiplayer is still hard and, while it is easier to find someone online now with the instrument compatibility feature, is nonetheless still a bit disappointing.
In any case, do NOT go by this game. It is one of the best in the series.
