It needs to be more different that Guitar Hero III. It's virtually identical in gameplay. The only difference is the band members, the songs, and the menus. Even the menus are set up a lot like Guitar Hero III, just different colors and designs. Dispite how similar this game is to Guitar Hero III I still love it! I love any music game with guitar. I really don't know if an average person would give this game as high of a rating as I did though. Most people would not like a game this much like a previous one. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is a sweet game though. It has 4 different multi-player modes. Face-Off, Pro Face-Off, Battle, and Co-Op; all very unique. My favorite part of this game thogu is deninantly the songs! Not all the songs are Aerosmith. I think Activision, Red Octane, and Neversoft has done a very good job of giving this game some veriety even though it is still called GH: Aerosmith. I LOVE almost every song in this game and that may be half of the reason why it is so addicting to me just like Guitar Hero III was. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is a game that anyone shoudl buy; but if you already have Guitar Hero III and aren't completly addicted to it like me, I don't reccommend buying this game, maybe just rent it and use your Guitar Hero III guitar. However... if you areaddicted, then pick this game up right away.^_^
