I am a die hard Guitar Hero fan. I love it and can't get enough. I can't wait for GH3 and I lose sleep thinking about Rock Band. That being said, I was more than excited when I heard about Encore. Then the information started leaking out about it...and slowly but surely I started to lose confidence in the game - and rightfully so as it's just a weak patch up job of GH2. The songs are pretty easy for one thing - and there just aren't enough really GOOD ones. The bass tracks seem to be a lazy addition and are so repetitive I thought I was gonna fall asleep half the time. But enough bashing - when it comes down to it this is still the Guitar Hero you have come to know and love. This will certainly keep the party going a bit longer although I don't know if its truly going to quench my thirst until Rock Band gets here. I highly recommend this as a rental, as a weekend hit - but not so sure you should buy it because it doesn't seem to really have as much replay value as the rest of the series.
